As a parent of a swimmer from Gloucester not swimming at the Nationals we decided to venture upto Sheffield to watch these top swimmers in action and see what a 10 Lane 50m pool looked like! If any of our Gloucester Team were nervous they certainly didn t let it show and they all got into their new LZR suits in time! We were not disappointed I would recomend anyone able to make the trip to go if they have the opportunity and be inspired! Apart from watching the clubs swimmers swim so brilliantly well and being able to support and cheer them it was great to watch so many first class swimmers including athletes who had swum at the Beijing Olympics including Cassandra Patton and several Paralympians including Eleanor Simmonds and Sacha Kindred.
If you would like to get an insight into the Coaches perpspective from the Nationals then log onto the Members area and go to Coaches and read Grahams blog!
Heres hoping the final 3 days of the competition bring the same fantastic results for our club swimmers.
