On Saturday 4 July eleven GCSC swimmers took part in the South West District Sprint competition at GL1. This competition is open to Age Group & Youth swimmers who have competed at the District Championships but excluding National swimmers.

Each swimmer is required to swim 50m in each stroke and a 100IM. The results are decided on combined GB points gained in all 5 events.

Highlights for Gloucester City came in the 10 year old boys, with Alex Seymour winning 4 of the 5 events which gave him first place overall with a total of 1245 points.

For the 13 year old girls, Holly Whitton won first place with a total of 2545 points and Sally Fitzpatrick finished in 3rd place overall with a total of 2390 points.

Congratulations to Alex, Holly and Sally and well done to all our swimmers who took part with many setting new PB’s in sprint events.
