This was the first long course meet of 2009 for the club and some powerful performances over the weekend resulted in a haul of medals.

Saturday started well with a Bronze medal for 10yr old Jack Bartman in the 50m breastroke and Gold medals for both James and 15 yr old Dan Broady.
The medals continued throughout the day and by the end of saturday the medal tally stood at 5 Gold ,3 Silver and 3 Bronze,giving the team a real boost and setting them up for the following days events.

The Easter Sunday hunt was not for eggs but medals and the swimmers performed really well claiming a further 9 to bring the medal haul to 20.

Notable performances throughout the meet came from James and Daniel Broady whose performance in the breastroke competition was outstanding.
The brothers now have long course national QT s in the 100 and 200m Breastroke .

The younger boys did a grand job with great swims from Will Carter,Craig Munden and Jake Michaels ,who took the Bronze medal in the 50m freestyle in a time of 29.06. Jack Bartman won a further Gold in the 100m Breastroke and went onto win a Bronze in the 50m Breastroke.

The girls showed equal strength and Sophie Brown extended her run of outstanding swims gaining QT s in 100 and 200m Backstroke and 100 Fly and going onto win top 13yr old BAGCAT Award.

Other notable performances came from Aimee Carter,Georgia Fuller ,Emma Fitzpatrick and Kirsty Hepburn.
All the swimmers worked hard over the weekend and spectators and swimmers alike were all vociferous in their cheering ,gaining Glos City the best supporters award at the end of the competition.
